What is the 50% off program sponsored by The AVI CHAI Foundation?
The AVI CHAI Foundation is offering to pay 50% of the cost of any high school
campaign that has been created by Out of the Box Advertising. The goal of
the program is to provide effective recruitment tools to Jewish High Schools
that need to boost enrollment. The offer is only available to Jewish High
Schools and only for a limited time. Click
here to see the 4 available High School campaigns, e-mail us,
or call us at 818-985-9971 for more information.
How much does a campaign cost?
Campaign prices are listed on each display page (click to
creative services and look through
a list of campaigns). They generally range from $3500 to $5000.
If
you would like to contract with Out of the Box Advertising
for a unique, non-packaged campaign, price quotes are available.
Please contact us for more information.
What
comes in each campaign?
Most of the time campaigns come with a mix of ads, flyers,
postcards, and some fundraising materials. Specific details
are listed on each display page (click to creative
services and look through a list of campaigns).
Will
campaign add-ons such as websites and brochures be available
soon?
Campaign add-ons are planned and will be available in the
coming months. Please contact us
if you would like to purchase or help us develop additional
marketing pieces.
How
long will we be able to use the campaign?
The rights on most campaigns extend to you for 3 years (a
few are 2 years long) and can be renewed annually after that
time period. During the entire license period, you must use
the Out of the Box Advertising © line on each of your
items – even if you make modifications to the pieces.
All modified or derivative materials may only be used while
your organization retains the license to a campaign.

Will
my competitors be able to buy the same campaign as me?
No. Each organization that purchases a campaign owns it exclusively
in their local area. Out of the Box Advertising will re-sell
the campaign in other cities and regions that do not compete
with your organization. Local competitors, on the other hand,
will only be able to purchase other campaigns in our inventory.
What
electronic format will my files be in?
Every campaign comes in both Adobe InDesign® and Microsoft
Publisher® for PC. The first program is a creative industry
standard; most graphic designers, printers, and newspapers
will be able to use this program. Publisher is very similar
to Microsoft Word® in its style and is quite straightforward.
Many printers and newspapers can accept ads in this format
as well. The program is available at most office or electronics
stores (ex. Staples®, Office Depot®, Costco®)
for approximately $139, although it may already be bundled
in your Microsoft Office® software package.
Can
I make changes to the campaign once I buy it?
Yes. The philosophy behind Out of the Box Advertising is that
you should have the full flexibility to make changes to campaigns.
Since you will have the files, you can do this on your own,
or feel free to contact us for customization services.
Remember
that even after you make changes, the Out of the Box Advertising
© line must remain on your materials. Additionally, all
modified or derivative materials may only be used while your
organization retains the license to a campaign.

What
are my limitations with the photos that have been provided?
You may use the photos to promote your organization in ads,
flyers, postcards, brochures, etc. as long as you retain the
license rights to the campaign and in no other way whatsoever.
As an example, you may not give away, loan, sell, or use the
photos to any person or entity – that was the understanding
that Out of the Box Advertising had with each of the photo
subjects (and in many cases, their parents/guardians).
Can
I combine campaigns or buy more than one?
Second campaigns can be purchased at a slight discount, but
unless you feel that it is critical to prevent one of your
competitors from running a specific campaign, we wouldn’t
encourage that purchase. Generally speaking, combining campaigns
is a recipe for projecting an inconsistent message in the
marketplace. Even Proctor & Gamble®, with its immense
marketing budget tries to have one message per product.
How
can I order a campaign?
Contact us via e-mail at info@ootba.com
or via phone at 818-985-9971. In the near future you will
also be able to purchase campaigns via this website (www.ootba.com).
